Ronald Lynn Jones

Mr. Ronald Lynn Jones entered Heaven’s gates on Thursday June 2, 2016. He passed away at Hospice in Aiea, Hawaii. He was born on November 20, 1942 to A.C. and Essie Jones, both deceased. He grew up in Swepsonville and attended Alexander Wilson School. After school he joined the US Navy and settled in Hawaii where he lived for 35 years. He returned to North Carolina in 1996 where he built a house in Liberty. He is survived by 4 children, Colleen, Sherry, Brandon and Natalie and husband Geoffrey Sabado with whom he lived until he went into assisted living and later Hospice and 4 grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, Jimmy Jones (Linda) of Hickory, Danny Jones (Robin), of Haw River; sisters, his twin, Sylvia Nicks (Freeman), of Graham and Cheryl Pickard (Ray), of Burlington and numerous nieces and nephews whom he adored. He is also survived by his beloved furry friend, Elvis. Ron loved Elvis, Duke Basketball, Nascar racing and boxing.
