Ronald Reginald Sims

GRAHAM - Mr. Ronald Reginald Sims, 97, of Graham and Burlington, passed away Wednesday, March 5, 2014, at White Oak Manor in Burlington. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend to many. He was a member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Burlington and he enjoyed spending time outside playing golf and watching other sports events. Survivors include a son, Andy Sims and wife Carol of Garner, N.C.; sister, Joan Lusk of New Jersey; brother, Cliff Hammer of New Jersey; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wives, Harriet DeYoung Sims and Josephine Sims; daughter, Jeanne Caldie; sister, Jean Mueller; and brother, Harry Hammer. The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2014, in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Tommy Privette. Burial will be in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 8 at the funeral home.
