Rosa Jacqueline Snow Lefler, 92, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on November 04, 2022. She was born in Caswell County on April 13, 1930, to the late Lennie and Rebecca Snow. She was the wife of the late Albert Luther Lefler. Rosa worked hard all of her life to provide for her children. From working in tobacco fields, waitressing at Watt’s Grill, serving at Eckerds Grill, and at K&W just to name a few. But her favorite job was serving the children in the cafeteria at Perry Harrison Elementary School in Chatham County where she retired. Rosa shared her love of gardening and flowers with many people throughout her life. In 2006, Rosa decided it was time to move to Alamance County to live with her son, Curtis and his wife, Rene. Some of her favorite pastimes when she moved closer to be with her family were watching baseball on TV, cooking for her family and “her boys” at Swepsonville Fire Department, playing bingo in Eli Whitney, and having yard sales with her friends every Saturday.
Rosa was preceded in death by a son, Henry Lefler; two brothers, Tom Snow and Calvin Snow; and two sisters, Margie Smith, and Rebecca Chambers.
Rosa is survived by her son, Curtis Lefler (Rene), her daughter, Robin Bolchoz (Danny), daughter-in-law Louise Lefler, grandchildren, Jennifer Hunt (Jimmy), Cortney Jenkins (Derrick), Taylor Fowler (Jake), Danny Bolchoz, Steven Bolchoz, Janet Hill (Jim), Dale Lefler, Jeffrey Lefler (Tonia); 16 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great-grandchildren. Rosa’s surviving siblings are Sam Snow, Raymond Snow, Robena Dyer, and Annie Oakley.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Emileigh who took care of Miss Rosa like she was her own grandmother over the past two years. We would also like to thank Kathryn Strup, NP, with Palliative Care who helped us the last two days to help make Miss Lefler as comfortable as possible.
Moma/Grandma/Granny will be greatly missed but our family rejoices knowing her body is healed!!!
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 09, 2022, beginning at 2:00PM at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Bynum Cemetery in Pittsboro, NC.
