Ruby Kelly Causey

On the evening of October 18, 2014 went home to be with her Lord and Savior, due to an accident in Okefenokee Swamp in Georgia. Ruby was born on January 21, 1937 in Durham, NC to Mary Jane Vowell and Spencer Kelly which were there to welcome her in heaven. Ruby served in the US Army beginning June 1o, 1954, she was a bookkeeper and tax client to many of whom loved her dearly. Ruby was a strong structure of the Central Baptist Church. She was a Sunday school teacher, youth director, secretary and treasurer of the Central Baptist Church Ladies organization, led plays, and many other functions. She sang for God regularly and loved every minute of it. She was very loved and will be missed by her entire church family and all that knew her. Ruby was a devoted, loving and a spiritual wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and a mother and grandmother figure to many. She was loved and adored by many. Ruby is survived by her loving family. Husband, David Gerald Causey of the home. Children, Anthony Allen with wife Evetta; Tim Allen with wife Barbara; Tamara Tapp with husband Mickey; Anitra Navarro all of Hillsborough. She had eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Sister, Betty Baker of Durham. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by one brother and two sisters. A funeral service will be held Friday, October 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM at Central Baptist Church, 1922 Buckhorn Rd., Mebane, NC 27302. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Faust. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 Thursday evening at Central Baptist Church. Other times they will be at the residence of Tamara Tapp, 1310 US 70A East, Hillsborough, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Central Baptist Church Building Fund in memory of Ruby Causey.
