Mebane Ruby May Miller “The Bruiser”, 86, of Mebane died, Wednesday, July 6, 2016 at the Hospice Home. She was born July 16, 1929 to the late William J. & and Lilie W. Lockemy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard S. Miller; one sister and four brothers. Ruby loved to go fishing, play bingo, but most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her sons, Jerry W. Allen and Danny R. Allen both of Henderson and James Miller and wife Wendy of Burlington; Sisters, Ann Mason and Nora Currin both of Henderson; brothers, Jimmy Lockemy and wife Janet of Detroit MI and Billy “Mack” Lockemy of Henderson; 7 grandchildren, Eleven great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; many loving nieces and nephews. A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane by Pastor Frank Sossamon. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00 – 2:00 before the service.
