Ruemell Brown

BURLINGTON - Ruemell Brown, 91, passed away on Aug. 18, 2013. She was the wife of the late Rev. Dallas Brown. She was born on July 27, 1922 in Pilot Mountain and raised in Julian, NC. She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Graham. Survivors include daughters Barbara Davis (Retired Master Sgt. Jack Davis) and Leona Morris (Dave); sisters Roxie Wright and Lillian Clapp; brothers Fred Flinchum and O.C. Flinchum; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Other than her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Nonnie Flinchum; brother Clayton Flinchum; and a sister, Bertie Kime. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at 2:00 in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham officiated by the Rev. Michael Light. Visitation will be held from 1-2 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Hospice Home of Alamance-Caswell at 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
