Ruth Alvina Imel

Mrs. Ruth Alvina Imel, 87, of Mebane, NC, formerly of Denver, CO, passed away on Saturday February 28, 2015 at White Oak Manor in Burlington, NC. A native of Henry County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Emelie Helmke Honeman. She was a loving wife, mother, and friend to many. She enjoyed painting and spending time outdoors in her garden. Surviving is her daughter, Nancy Mitchel and husband Frank, of Mebane, NC. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Leland J. Imel. There will be no public services held. McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Mebane, NC is assisting the family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
