Mrs. Sammie Elaine Qualls, 75, of Burlington went home to be with her Lord and savior on April 15, 2020. She was born in Burlington, NC and resided in the area her entire life. Sammie worked for Alamance County for 30 plus years, eventually retiring from the Tax Department. Sammie was a longtime member of Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church, her love for the lord knew no bounds. Sammie enjoyed the simple things in life, she had a sincere love for her friends and family, always putting the ones she cared for first. In her free time she enjoyed cooking but nothing could compare to spending time with her grandkids and special friends. Mrs. Qualls leaves behind a loving and trusting companion Mr. Roland Wagner, a son, Brad Qualls and wife Debbie, grandchildren Noelle Trogdon and husband Brandon, Holden Qualls, Brandon Elkins and wife Jessica, Jared Elkins and wife Amy, and six greatgrandchildren Owen, Emersyn, Victoria, Jaxon, Peyton, and Adley. A private graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at Mt. Hermon United Methodist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Qualls will be open to the public for viewing on Friday, April 17, 2020 from 12:00pm to 5:00pm at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.
