Samuel Deway Barnes II, 52, of Graham died Sunday, May 31, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. He was a native of Alamance County, Sammie graduated from Graham High School, he attended Chowan College, was a self employed plumber and a member of Graham Presbyterian Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Moore Barnes.

He is survived by his wife, Juli Huffman Barnes of Graham; children, Tyler Barnes & Wife Lindsey of Charlotte, Elizabeth Thomas and husband Nick of Texas; father, Samuel D Barnes of Graham; sister, T.J. Watson and husband Ashley of Graham; special companion, Mary Helen Yehl of Burlington; nephews, Hasten & Harrison Watson of Graham and his dog, Shaggy

Due to the COVID-19 precautions an outdoor memorial service to celebrate his life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Graham Presbyterian Church parking lot behind the church by Dr. Steve Braswell.
