Sandra "Sandy" Yvonne Solomon Edgley

BURLINGTON - Mrs. Sandra Yvonne Solomon "Sandy" Edgley, 51, of Whites Kennel Road, passed away on Friday Feb, 7, 2014, at Baptist Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Tommy and Patricia Mann Solomon. Mrs. Edgley was a loving wife, mother, sister, and friend to many. She was the first female feature winner at Ace Speedway, driving for more than 10 years, and she always enjoyed taking trips to the N.C. mountains with her family and friends. Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Floyd C. Edgley, of the home; son, Jake C. Edgley, of the home; brother, Scott Solomon, of Burlington, and many other loving family members and friends. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Paul Clinton Edgley.A graveside service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 10, 2014, at Pine Hill Cemetery in Burlington with the Rev. Harold Jefferson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 prior to the graveside service on Monday at the McClure Funeral Home in Graham, and other times at the residence of Gene and Anita Myrick at 318 W. Market St., Graham, NC. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to McClure Funeral Service at 1030 S. Main St., Graham, NC 27253 in memory of Sandy. In the words of Sandy: "I ain't worried about nothing."
