MEBANE - Mrs. Sarah Kathryn Moore Kerley, 74, of 2250 Farrell Road, went to heaven at 12:15 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at the Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was born in Alamance County and retired from General Electric.Preceding her in death were her parents Coy Lee Moore and Bessie Glover Moore, two brothers, Wayne Moore and David Moore.Survivors are her husband James Henry Kerley of the home; daughters Mitzi Burris and husband Jeff of Swepsonville, Lisa Doss and husband Lynn of Mebane; son James L. Kerley of Mebane; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.The family will receive friends Saturday, Jan. 10, 2015, at the McClure Funeral and Cremation Service in Mebane from 1 to 3 p.m. with a funeral service to be held at 3 p.m. in the McClure Chapel.Officiating will be Dr. Terry Farmer. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at other times at the home of Lisa and Lynn Doss, 2925 NC Highway 119 North, Mebane.Memorial may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance Caswell 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215.
