Shannon Leigh Adcock

Shannon Leigh Adcock, 43, of Burlington passed away suddenly on May 22, 2015 in Graham. She was the daughter of Johnny and Jean Mann of Graham who survive. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, May 26th, at McClure Funeral & Cremation Service in Graham at 5:00 PM with Rev. Darryl Peebles officiating, with visitation to follow at the funeral home. Shannon was a graduate of Williams High School and attended UNC-Greensboro. She was an avid sky diver and animal lover, being a patron of the Conservators Center of Burlington. Everyone who knew Shannon was captivated by her sweet, loving nature being a friend to all. Her battle with epilepsy and other debilitating medical conditions never broke her resolve to struggle to maintain a productive life. She is also survived by her brothers Blake Adcock of Asheville, NC and Richard Mann (Lori) of Burlington, nephew Ethan Adcock of Asheville and niece Jessica Mann of Burlington, many special friends including Tripp Hughes, and her two beloved cats. She was preceded in death by her grandparents of Alabama. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Conservators Center, 676 Hughes Mills Rd, Burlington, 27217 or the Humane Society of Alamance County, PO Box 5117, Burlington, NC 27216.
