Shelby Jean (Saunders) Belton

Shelby Jean Saunders Belton, 87 of Burlington transitioned to her Heavenly home with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 She is the daughter of the late Elbert Thomas and Nellie Pearl Thomas Saunders. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Billy Thomas "Sonny" Belton; siblings, Doris Saunders, Billy Saunders and Gloria Saunders Drummond.

She was a beloved mother, grandmother and Memaw to all her family. How can you put into words how to describe this beautiful soul who loved everyone, especially her family. She was employed with General Electric until 1994. She loved collecting porcelain dolls, her flowers were her passion as was painting pictures. She is described by her family as a fun loving sassy hoot who always has a smile for everyone. She will be so missed by her family and all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Belton Parker (Jimmy); son, Perry Belton; grandchildren, Jason Rainey, Jennifer Rivers, Kristen Fitner, Brittany Beltonand Jordan Parker; great grandchildren’ Macy, Noah, Haleigh, Ashton, Mason, Alexis, Kinley, DC, Broderick, Scarlett and Nori; great great grandchildren, Kolson, Emmelynn and Adalynn; Brother, Kenneth Saunders.
