Shelby Jean Thomasson Crane

Mrs. Shelby Jean Thomasson Crane, 58, 0f 1143 Whitaker Rd. Mebane, NC, passed away on Friday November 20, 2015 at her residence with her family by her side. A native of Alamance County, she is the daughter of the late Carl E. Thomasson and her mother who survives, Nellie Hatch Thomasson, of Efland. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend to all. She was known for her loving ways and she always had a smile on her face. She would always look for the good in people for her love and joy for others was proudly in her heart. She was a member of Central Baptist Church where she was a past President of the ladies Fellowship, and children’s Sunday school teacher and a member of the ladies helping hands group. Surviving are her husband, Tom Crane, of the home; sons, Robbie Hensley and wife Jennifer, of Burlington and Matthew Crane, of Mebane; sisters, Carolyn Ellis And husband Van, of Mebane and Judy Rimmer and husband Mike, of Cedar Grove; grandchildren, Evan and Logan Hensley, of Burlington; special niece, Ruth Toepfer, of the home and many other loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her grandparents, Lacy and Maude Hatch and Ersell and Lucy Thomasson. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday November 23, 2015 at the Central Baptist Church in Mebane with the Rev. Mike Faust officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 PM on Sunday November 22, 2015 at the Central Baptist Church in Mebane, and other times at the residence of the family.
