Shelia Oakley Carter

Mrs. Shelia Oakley Carter, 56, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, at her residence in Mebane. Shelia loved to garden and crafting. She adored her grandkids. She was a member of Five Forks Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband: Robert A. “Robbie” Carter; daughter: Danielle Rogers Strouth; sons: Robert Damian Carter & Chad Alan Carter; mother: Evelyn L. Oakley; grandchildren: Mackenzie, Makayla, Layne. She was preceded in death by her father: Curtis “Catfish” Oakley. A funeral service will be conducted on Sunday December 6th at 2:00 at Lighthouse Baptist Church. Officiating will be Pastor David Hopkins. Burial will follow in Five Forks Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday December 5th from 5-7 at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane.
