Steven Conklin Flint

August 2, 1952 — January 16, 2026

Burlington

Steven Conklin Flint, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, and brother, passed away peacefully on January 16, 2026, in Alamance Co., North Carolina, the same place where his story began on August 2, 1952. His life was a testament to the love and dedication he had for his family and community, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Steve's journey through life was one of commitment and joy. He shared 47 beautiful years of marriage with his loving wife, Ginny Boyer Flint, who stood by his side as a partner and best friend. Together, they raised two wonderful children, Katie Flint Hardt and Jacob Flint, who went on to find loving partners in Harrison and Alyson, respectively. Steven's role as "Papi" to his adored grandchildren—Brinn, Cheyenne, Montana, Peyton, Sullivan, Leland, and Holden—was one he embraced with every ounce of his being, leaving behind a legacy of cherished memories and life lessons. His sister, Sherri Salter, and her husband, Ron, fondly remember Steven's warmth and the close bond they shared throughout the years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elbie and Betty Conklin Flint, who instilled in him the values of hard work and family that he carried throughout his life. Steve's professional life was marked by his long-standing dedication to Glen Raven Mills, followed by McMichael Mills in Burlington, NC, from which he retired after many years of service. His colleagues knew him as a man of integrity and kindness, always willing to lend a hand or share a word of encouragement. Beyond his work, Steve was an avid golfer, finding solace and joy on the greens. In his earlier years, he enjoyed the camaraderie and competition of bowling, always eager for a friendly challenge. But above all, Steve was a family man. His happiest moments were those spent surrounded by his loved ones, whether it was a quiet evening at home or a boisterous family gathering. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday January 23, 2026 at the Hawfields Presbyterian Church with Pastor David Ealy officiating.

The family of Mr. Flint would like to extend a special thank you to Rock Steady Boxing for their love and support during this difficult time. Thank you for all your love and kindness.
