Suzanne Moser

February 8, 1943 — May 17, 2025

Graham

The most beautiful woman on earth-our mother, Suzanne took her last breath on Saturday, May 17th, at 11:17am-surrounded by those who loved her the most. Suzanne had fought like a warrior queen since January of this year-battling many unexpected issues with her strength and grace-like a champion she has always been.

A native of High Point, NC, Suzanne was the only child of the late Roby Gray Yarborough and Rose Bryant Yarborough. She became an honorary “Graham Square Miler” when she married the “love of her life”- Kenneth Rex Moser in June of 1962. They enjoyed over 54 years of marriage together before Rex left us after battling cancer in 2017.

Suzanne became a licensed NC Real Estate Broker in 1970. She was a partner with her husband Rex in Moser Real Estate Company for many years- with offices on the southwest corner of the Court Square in Graham and an office in Burlington. Suzanne loved helping people find their dream homes. She worked with many generations of families all over Alamance County and beyond.

Active in countless Alamance County civic and professional organizations-Suzanne held every elective office in the Alamance/Burlington Board of Realtors. She served as President in 1979. Suzanne was the first female to do so and was also the youngest president. She was a director of the Real Estate Advisory Board of ACC, certified instructor at ACC, a top graduate of the NC Realtors Institute at UNC-CH and was the “Realtor of the Year” recipient with her husband Rex in 1981. Suzanne was also a commissioner and former chairman of the Graham Housing Authority-where she proudly served for over 40 years.

Former civic organizations affiliations include Graham Jaycettes, Graham Civinettes, Burlington Junior Woman’s Club, co-colonel Graham Division United Way, Executive Club, Elon Homes for Children, and the Children’s Home Society. Suzanne was adopted and was a tremendous advocate for adoption.

Somehow amidst all of these many activities and obligations-Suzanne still found time to spend time in her kitchen. Quite the cook and baker- she found great joy in dropping off her homemade goodies all over the community to lift spirits and brighten days. This was just one example of her many acts of kindness.

Suzanne loved the beach and was quite the fisherman. She dreamed of retiring on the coast. She became a grandmother late in life and was absolutely thrilled. Her grandchildren brought her the greatest joy! She was so proud of them and wanted to tell everyone about them. Suzanne was a great lover of her fur babies and her home always had at least one pup. She spoiled them and cooked for them. Holly Belle, her Yorkie was very special to her. Her tiny black toy poodle, Precious was her guardian angel until the end.

Suzanne is survived by her daughters- Lisa Kyle Moser (partner Damon Carter) of Graham and Leslie M. Kissner (partner Anthony Wolverton) of Burlington; most beloved grandchildren- Evan Thomas Kissner and Lily Annalise Kissner of Burlington; special friend and companion, Bill Copeland; many special nieces and nephews; her dear friend, Silvana Scali of Washington, NC; and her best friend since childhood, Nancy Stewart (and husband Ben) of High Point. She was blessed with several special friends who were ever present during her last days and Michael Lavieri at Peak was an ANGEL for mom and our family. We appreciate all of you for your gestures of kindness.
