Sylvia Karen English

Miss. Sylvia Karen English, 61, of Burlington, NC, passed away on Thursday November 22, 2018 at her residence. A native of Alamance County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Eugene N. English and Sally Sumner English Ford. She loved and attended Staley Memorial Baptist Church. She always looked forward to her family beach trips and sitting on the beach enjoying the sun and salty air. Sylvia loved her family and especially her sweet Baby Girl. Survivors include her sisters, Pam Westbrook and husband Doug, of Mebane, and Pat Strider and husband Gary, of the home; brother, Kenneth English, of Burlington and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy E. Melton. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday November 26, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor Bennie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Hospice of Alamance/Caswell at 918 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215.
