Sylvia Lee Harrell

Burlington Sylvia Lee Harrell, 79, of Burlington died Thursday, January 12 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. She was a native of Alamance County, Retired from Great American Textiles and a member of West Burlington Church of God. She was a volunteer at ARMC for many years, loved traveling with family and friends to enjoy the beauty of God’s creations, loved making various crafts and her reward was the happiness she received by giving them to family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse James and Selma Coker Harrell; sister, Eula Mae Poole; brothers, Richard Harrell and Aubrey Harrell. She is survived by her brother, Jesse “Bobby” Harrell and wife Judy of Burlington and sister in law, Ann Harrell of Graham and several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews who were so very special and adored by Sylvia A service to celebrate her life will be held 3:30 PM Sunday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Rev. Olin Tatum and Major Terry Edwards. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1:15 – 3:15 before the service, other times at the residence of her brother. The family would like to thank the Girls Night Out group and her many friends for the special love and kindness shown to Sylvia over the years and they would also like to thank the staff at Edgewood Place for their love and care shown to Sylvia.
