Mrs. Tammy Thomas, 60, of Graham, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2025. A native of Alamance County, she was born on January 20, 1965 to the late James Monroe Foust and Peggy Marie Herring Foust. She was a stay at home mom who was a devoted loving mother and wife who loved her family. She enjoyed baking and working in her yard. She loved all animals especially her baby Diesel that she swore was not a dog. She always had more than enough love to go around even to the cats that showed up on her doorstep and would never leave. She showed the love of God in everything that she did. She opened up her home to many people that had nowhere to go. In addition to raising her kids she had many many others that called her mom. In her final days she was helping take care of her mother making her life brighter. Many evenings were spent playing cards and fussing about who was the best at it.
Tammy was preceded in death by her father James Monroe Foust, a son Joshua Wade Thomas and a grandson Hayden Cole Wheeler. Tammy is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, Phillip Daniel Thomas; her sons Daniel Wayne Thomas (Sarah), Brandon Dee Thomas (Trish), Caleb Bradley Thomas, James Warren Thomas (Stacey), a daughter Elisha Thomas Wheeler (Bobby); 12 surviving grandchildren; which were the light of her life. She is also survived by her precious sister Cheryl Damise Foust and Brother James Dennis Foust of which they were never far apart from each other. Three nephews James Matthew Thomas, Johnathon Christopher Thomas and James Nathaniel Foust.
She was a faithful member of Victory Chapel church. She has also been known to lay hands on our former pastor Dale Hubbard because she always said that she believed preachers needed to be kept in line. No job was ever too big or too small. She loved her church family and will be sorely missed.
A funeral service will be held to honor her life on Tuesday, April 1, 2025, at McClure Funeral Home in Graham beginning at 4:00pm. Burial will follow the service at Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday, March 31, 2025, from 5:00-7:00pm at the funeral home.
