Ted Morris Wilkinson, 83, of Mebane passed away July 24, 2017. He was a native of Alamance County and was a general contractor and co-owner of Ted Wilkinson Builder, Inc. Ted was a former member and served as president of The Alamance County Builders Association. He attended Agape Baptist Church. Ted enjoyed golf, camping and traveling. Survivors include his wife, Rose Elaine Wilkinson; son, Steve Wilkinson and companion Becky Payne of Reidsville; sister, Eunice Rose Miller of Chesterland, OH; nieces and nephews. Preceding Ted in death were his parents, Wilbur and Layla Thompson Wilkinson; a brother, Romell Wilkinson, and a sister-in-law, Delorese Wilkinson. The family will receive friends from 10:00 – 10:50 am Friday at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane. The funeral service for Ted Wilkinson will be held at 11:00 am Friday, July 28, 2017 in the chapel of McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, with Dr. David Chambers and Pastor Steve Hamman, Sr. presiding. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Mebane. Pallbearers will be Algene Liggins, Don Shanklin, Eddie Eubanks, Ray Robertson, Kenneth Wilkinson, Butch Huntley and Steve Wilkinson. The family extends sincere gratitude to all who spent time in prayer on their behalf, and to those who have been there with helping hands in so many ways. Your thoughtfulness and compassionate acts of love were heartwarming and very much appreciated.
