Terrell Leo Lamb

GRAHAM - Mr. Terrell Leo Lamb, 91, of 1555 Dixon Lamb Lane, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after two weeks of declining health. A native of Randolph County, he was the son of Marjorie Fogleman Lamb and James Orville Lamb and the husband of Vera Hadley Lamb, all deceased. He owned and operated a dairy farm for 33 years.Lamb served in the U.S. Army during World War II in France and Germany with B Battery, 494th Armored Field Artillery, 12th Armored Division. In his later years he often spoke to high school history classes about his military service.He was instrumental in establishing the Community Health Center in Snow Camp and was a member of the Alamance County War Memorial committee.Mr. Lamb was a member of First United Methodist Church of Graham and the T.J. Whitehead Sunday School Class.Survivors include two daughters, Teresa L. Lindley (Joe) and Marjorie L. Totten (Steve), both of Graham; son, Terrell H. Lamb (Susan) of Raleigh; and six grandchildren, Lindsay, Brad and Abby Totten, Caroline Lindley and Elizabeth L. Poindexter (Matt) and Emily Lamb.He was predeceased by brothers, O.K. Lamb and Ted Lamb; and a sister, Sarah Haith. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, 2013, at First United Methodist Church of Graham by the Rev. Kevin Baker. Burial will follow at the South Fork Friends Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Service in Graham from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8, 2013 and at other times at the home of Teresa Lindley, 7720 Lindley Mill Road, Graham. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church of Graham, 303 N. Main Street, Graham, NC 27253.The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Blakey Hall and to special caregiver, Kathy Hodges, for their loving care of Terrell.
