The Reverend Elgie Howard Bowes Sr.

The Reverend Elgie Howard Bowes Sr. 74, went from the loving arms of his wife to the waiting arms of Jesus. He was preceded in death by his father, James Hurley Bowes Sr. and mother, Mary Bush Bowes; brother, Richard Thomas Bowes. He is survived by his wife Phyllis Williams Bowes; brother, James Hurley Bowes Jr. and loving wife Traci Bowes; sister, Lottie Hurrel Wilson and husband Donnie; brothers in law, Colton Marshall, John Williams, Gary William, all of TN; sister in law, Elizabeth Youngblood; sons, Elgie Howard Bowes II and Larry Anthony Bowes; stepchildren, Rocky Marshall, Johnathan Marshall, Brandy Hammonds, Travis Marshall, all of TN; five step children from a previous marriage; five grandchildren and two great grandchildren; a special memory to Rev. Roscoe Billings who helped Elgie along the way; several cousins and a special cousin, Glen Aldridge and loving wife Carol. Rodger Loftis and wife Gaile, Sterling Hensley and companion Pat and RD James who he loved like family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the wife Phyllis.
