Theo Smith, Sr

Theo Smith, Sr. 81, 0f Mebane passed away Sunday, May 19, 2019 at his residence.

Theo was born in Dillon Co., SC to Hickman and Ethel Cook Smith both deceased. He worked with Cone Mills until retirement and also worked with Gibson Tree Service for numerous years. Theo was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a friend to many.

Theo is survived by his children; Mary Elizabeth Smith, Mebane; Theo Smith, Jr., Siler City; Oscar Smith, Mebane; Bryan Brown, Mebane, and Tim Brown, Louisiana. Seven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. Sisters; Ella Jacobs, Asheboro; Janney Jones, Fla.; Ethel Elliott, SC. Brothers; Bill Smith, Seagrove, NC, and Charlie Smith, Asheboro. Many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; Emma Hewitt Smith. Sister; Annie Mae Saunders. Brother; J.T. Smith.

A funeral service s planned for Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the  McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Officiating will be Rev. Donna Christopher. Burial will follow in Mebane Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home from  12:00 PM until 2:00 PM prior to the service. Other times they will be at the residence.
