Thomas Eugene Allen II

Thomas Eugene Allen II (Tommy), 56, of Mebane, NC, passed away on November 26, 2025. Born in Person County, NC, on January 14, 1969, to the late Thomas Eugene “Gene” Allen and Minnie Lee Allen who survives. Tommy is also survived by his most precious gift, his daughter, Shelley Allen, also known as Lou, and her fiancée, Dalton Hamm; his former wife, Angie Allen; his special adopted daughters, Kelly Apple and Amanda Knight; his sister, Christy Allen; and his nephew, J. Owens.

In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Durb and Hilda Allen of Mebane; maternal grandparents, Henry and Minnie Ezzell of Warsaw; Anna Cristine “Aunt Tiny” and J Pace of Mebane; many aunts, uncles, cousins, a nephew, and special friends that were family; and last but not least, Tommy’s most loyal companion and boy, Odis.

Tommy Allen never met a stranger; you took him as he was. If there was something he did not like, he would let you know. He was one of the realest people, you either loved him, or you didn’t, but you respected him for his honesty. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding his motorcycle, shooting pool, playing cards, golfing with his buddies, watching ball games and NASCAR with his friends, and being at the lake with Shelley and Dalton and their friends, the mountains, or the beach. Though Tommy had pain and suffering in his later years, he tried to live life to the fullest, even up until his last day. He is deeply loved and greatly missed.

Visitation will be held Thursday, December 4, 2025, at McClure Funeral Service in Mebane from 5:00pm-8:00pm. The funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, December 5, 2025, in the McClure Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
