GRAHAM – Thomas Lee Bristow, age 86, of 2046 Swepsonville Rd, Graham, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Alamance Regional Medical Center. A native of Alamance County, Tom was the husband of Susan Lewis Bristow (Surviving) and son of Thomas and Mabel Bristow, both deceased. In addition to his parents, Tom was proceeded in death by his brother(s) Harry Bristow, Bunny Bristow, Billy Bristow, and Ben Bristow.

Surviving, other than his wife are two siblings, brother Bobby Bristow and sister Mary Thacker. He had three children, Tami Itri, Randy Bristow (wife Sherrie), Chris Bristow (wife Seren) and two step daughters, Kimberly Parsell(Mike) and Candace Essick (husband Hence). Tom had eight grandchildren; Tasha Buchanan, AJ Itri, Brian Itri, Justin Swingle, Jennifer Bristow, Sydney Hill, Dylan Essick, & Macy Essick. He had two great-grandchildren; Zander Buchanan & Malina Buchanan.

Tom was part of the first graduating class of Williams High School in 1952. He retired from the Navy with 20 years of service as an electrical engineer, working on aircraft carriers. He also retired from the Alamance-Burlington School System with 20 years of service in the maintenance department. He was a lifelong member of Glen Hope Baptist Church. Although Tom was not a man of many words, he adored his family and shared very special bonds with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his sweet smile and his insatiable sweet tooth, which he especially shared with his granddaughters.
