Thomas Glidwell Hanford

GRAHAM - Mr. Tom Hanford, 92, passed away Feb. 7, 2016, at ARMC. He was a World War II veteran, serving in The United States Marine Corps. Survivors include a daughter, Phyllis Linens (Jerry) of Graham; grandchildren, Jamie Strickland (Chris) and Kelly Linens, all of Graham; great- grandchildren, Landon Linens and Cooper Strickland. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Horry Hanford; parents, Frank and Olivia Ellington Hanford; sons, Mike Hanford and David Hanford; sisters, Ossie Johnson and Jewel Burns; brothers, Wade Hanford, Ned Hanford and Ralph Hanford. A funeral service will be held Wednesday, Feb. 10, at 2 p.m. in the McClure Funeral Chapel in Graham. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1 to 2, prior to the service. Burial will follow in Alamance Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to New Covenant Fellowship Church, 1913 Rogers Road, Graham, NC 27253.
