Timothy Bruce Cagle, 67, of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026.
Tim was a hardworking and talented man who had a remarkable ability to work with his hands. He took pride in the things he could build, create, and accomplish. He enjoyed staying busy and found happiness in life’s simple pleasures, whether it was woodworking, landscaping, gardening, fishing, or heading out with his metal detector in search of hidden treasures. He was a man who enjoyed keeping his hands busy and always seemed to have another project or interest waiting for him.
Anyone who knew Tim knew he was truly one of a kind. He had a collection of unique sayings that could bring a smile or a laugh to those around him. Those little sayings and memories will undoubtedly be repeated, remembered, and cherished by the people who loved him for years to come.
Tim also had an extraordinary bond with his beloved dog, Buster. More than just a pet, Buster was his best friend, his #1 sidekick, and a constant companion. Those two looked for trouble daily.
Above all else, Tim loved his family. The relationships he shared with those closest to him meant more than words could express. Although he had many nieces and nephews, he shared an especially meaningful bond with his nephews John, Mark, and Chris. Over the years, they made it a point to spend time with him, check on him, and lend a helping hand or leg ;) whenever he needed one. Their continued love, care, and support meant so much to Tim, and he loved each of them dearly. The time they shared and the kindness they showed him throughout the years will never be forgotten.
Tim was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sarah Cagle; and his brothers, Roger Cagle, David Cagle, Allen Cagle, and Charles Cagle.
He leaves behind his daughter, Ashley Solomon and her husband, Donald; his grandchildren, Haylei Terrell (Kevin), Brianne Solomon, and Aiden Solomon; his brothers, Steve Cagle, Clifford Cagle, and Mark Cagle; his sisters, Teresa Cagle and Jennifer Partington; and many nieces and nephews.
While Tim’s passing leaves an emptiness in the hearts of those who loved him, his memory will live on through the stories shared, the laughter remembered, and the countless little things that made him who he was. His unique sayings, his humor, and the memories made throughout his life will continue to bring smiles to those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A service honoring Tim’s life will be held on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at McClure Funeral Home in Graham, North Carolina. The family will receive friends prior to the service, from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m.
