Tony Wayne Woods

Mr. Tony Wayne Woods, 51, of Graham, NC, passed away on Thursday July 11, 2019 at the Alamance Regional Medical Center in Burlington. A native of Alamance County, NC, he was the son of the late Kenneth Wayne Woods Sr. and his mother, Joan Lloyd Woods, who survives. Tony was a loving and devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend to all. He prided himself in his faith as a Christian and he loved his Church family at Maranatha Baptist Church. Tony was employed with the Apex Aridyne Corporation starting in November of 1987. Over the years, he had coached various sports teams across Alamance County with and for not only his children but for every child he could help and guide. Tony was known for his contagious smile and always telling a joke to put smiles on other people’s faces and the lives he touched over the years will always be special to him. Tony loved his beach trips with his family and always looked forward to going to a nice restaurant and enjoy some crab legs. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Michelle Barbour Woods; his daughter, Cassie Michelle Woods; sons, Caleb Wayne Woods and Chandler Lee Woods; sisters, Tracy W. King and Deborah Woods; a brother, Kenneth W. Woods Jr. and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Clayton and Clara Lloyd and Marvin and Florence Woods. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 PM on Sunday July 14, 2019 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Pastor David McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:30 prior to the service on Sunday.
