Toyoko Bull

Toyoko Teruya Bull, 86, was born on September 24, 1939, on Ryukyu Island, Okinawa. A resident of Graham, North Carolina, she went home to be with the Lord at 3:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 12, 2026. Toyoko was a loving and sweet person who cared deeply for everyone she met. Her kindness, gentle spirit, and love for others touched the lives of many, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and church family. She was a member of Kimesville Road Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Shizuko (Oshiro) Teruya and Isamu Teruya; and her brother, Hideji Teruya.

Toyoko is survived by her loving husband of 37 years, Alton Dewey Bull; her daughters, Michelle Allison and Patricia Teruya; her sisters, Sumiko Teruya Daley, Fumiko Teruya Gay; her brother, Hideyo Teruya; 3 grandchildren, Ashley, Alyssa, and Toyochun; 4 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews as well as her extensive church family, who held a special place in her heart.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 3:00pm at Kimesville Road Baptist Church officiated by Pastor Jay O’Dell. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00pm til 3:00pm in the church prior to the service.
