Trevor Kyle Thompson

Trevor "Kyle" Thompson, 23, of Elon, completed his final mission and received his Heavenly wings on Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 12:57 p.m. Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Brandy Andrews Thompson of Mebane and Gary Richard Thompson of Graham; his "girls", Adilynn Faith Thompson and Riley Nicole Smith; their mother, Arianna McArver Thompson; grandmother Connie Andrews, grandfather Roy Thompson; aunts, Candace Lynch and Jerri Andrews. Kyle's memory will also be cherished by his special aunt of hope, Sandi Scott and his "Guardian Angel," Ms. Barbara Thompson. Kyle served his country proudly for five years in the United States Marine Corps. A celebration of Kyle's life will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2014, in the chapel at McClure Funeral Home in Graham with M.J. Tucci officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service and after at the home of his mother. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Neuroscience ICU at UNC Chapel Hill, Dr. William Pegues with Carolina Donor Services and to the entire staff of Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell for all of their compassion, prayers and caring during this most difficult time. Even in his death, Kyle continued to touch people's lives by serving and helping those in need. His selfless donation of his organs helped to save the lives of up to 52 people.
