Tysheen Hills, Sr.

Tysheen “Ty” Lavell Hills Sr 38, of Mebane NC gained his angel wings on July 3, 2018. Ty was a Co- Owner of Center of Excellence Child Care Academy, store manager at Rent-A Center (11 years) as well as a founding member of the Ark Church in Durham NC. Center of Excellence was a dream come true for him. Ty loved to inspire others to be the best person they could be and to always keep improving themselves. He truly loved to encourage others. Ty was a very conversational person and could convince a whale he did not need water. He loved numbers and to see people happy. Ty was a friend, hero, and a motivator to so many. He enjoyed spending time with family & friends, motorcycle riding and watching the stock market. Ty will be remembered as a loving husband, outstanding father, encouraging friend and exemplary business man. Ty’s legacy will forever live on by his loving wife Tasha Calhoun-Hills, daughter Anastasjiah McGriff, son Lil Ty (preceded him in death) of Mebane NC; his mother Cynthia Williams-Hills and father Robert Hills of Durham NC ; in- laws Brounetta & Reginald Calhoun (preceded him in death) of Mebane, NC ; Three brothers: Antione Williams , Shannon “Boogie” Williams, and Thurman Hills ; Two sisters: Nicci Rucker (Kevin) & Deauntea Douglas, and host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at 6:30 PM in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Mebane. Officiating will be Pastor Steve Johnson. The family will receive friends from 5:30 PM until 6:30 PM prior to the service.
