Velsie Jane (Guthrie) Mcadams

Velsie Jane Guthrie McAdams, 94, of Burlington passed away on Monday, July 12, 2021. She was a native of Alamance County and retired from the textile industry. She was preceded in death by her husband, William James (W.J.) McAdams, Jr.; parents, Henry Clayborne & Clarice Hadassie Foster Guthrie; son, Larry Kent McAdams; grandson, Larry K. McAdams, Jr.; great grandson, Thomas Wayne Brown, Jr.; 8 brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, William Clayborne McAdams of Graham, James Edward McAdams and wife Brenda of Burlington, Margaret Jeanette McAdams Terry and husband Junior of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, LuAnn Brown, Suzanne  Smith, Clay McAdams, Lisa Peele, Jim McAdams, Tammy McAdams, Sandy Johnson, Paige Payne, Heath Terry, Nathan McAdams;19 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren; sister, Carolyn Parrish of Burlington.

A service to celebrate her life will be 3:00 PM Friday at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Pastor Darrell Moser. Burial will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery.
