Vernell Francine (Shoe) Wright

Vernell Francine Shoe Wright, 91, of Snow Camp Went to her Heavenly Home Saturday, June 5, 2021. She was a native of Alamance County, retired from Isley Knitting Mill and a member of Antioch Baptist Church. She was an avid gardener and talented seamstress. She is the daughter of the late Walter Page and Olivia Isley Shoe and the wife of the late James W. Wright. She was also preceded in death by a son, James Walter Aiken, Step daughter, Karla Gray Allen; Sisters, Betty Van Lucas and Velna Searcy; brothers, Loftin Shoe, Clyde O’Neal “Joe” Shoe, Clifton Shoe and Rankin Shoe

She is survived by her daughters; Lura Gail Sharpe of Burlington, Clara Mae Gurkin of Burlington, Katrina Rose Rickman of Graham; stepson, James Wallace Wright, III of Burlington; brothers, Hal Dean Shoe of Haw River, Levi Riley Shoe of  Snow Camp; 8 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday June 8, 2021 at Antioch Baptist Church by Pastor Steve Loy and Dwayne Janey. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
