Vernon Lee May

Vernon Lee May, 49, of Mebane passed away Thursday, March 2, 2023 at Duke University Medical Center. Vernon was born in Orange County to Richard Elwood May Sr., deceased and Nancy Whitfield Byrd who survives. Vernon worked as a bartender. In addition to his mother, He is also survived by his step father, Clyde Pete “Pops” Byrd. Sisters, Tina Armenta, Michelle Davis and Kim Heritage. Brother, Richard Elwood May, Jr. Grandmother, Ruby Costner.

The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane on Friday, March 17, 2023 from 4:00 PM until 6:00 PM.
