Veronica Gonzalez Ugalde

GRAHAM- April 15th, 2023, Veronica Gonzalez Ugalde 40, passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by all her loved ones. Veronica was born October 29th, 1982, in Eden, NC. She is one of five children born to Ruben Ugalde and Celia Gonzalez Lara.

At an early age, Veronica's family returned to Mexico where she would be raised in San Antonio Solis, State of Mexico. She returned to the United States in her mid-teenage years and where she would live the remainder of her life in Graham, NC. She graduated from Eastern High School. After graduation she met the love of her life, Ramon Gonzalez. They married in 2002 and welcomed four children. They couple would love to wake up early and go on long bicycle rides. They loved hiking together. The family would love to make regular trips to Mexico.

Veronica had several hobbies, but gardening was her favorite. She had a green thumb and would love to plant a variety of flowers. She has lovely gardens around her home and has several house plants. She loved the outdoors, especially the trees and creeks. She loved the sunsets and the ocean. She loved to dance, and her dancing spirit was contagious. She would

always start the dances at family get-togethers or any social gathering. Her favorite dancing song was “Dance Monkeys” by Tones and I. Veronica has an amazing smile that would immediately make you want to smile also. She was outgoing and was never afraid to try anything out. She was brave and had a great personality. She was very charismatic and loving.

Prior to her illness, she began to study cosmetology but unfortunately was not able to complete her classes.

Veronica was preceded in death by her mother, Celia Gonzalez Lara. Surviving is her husband of 21 years, Ramon Gonzalez and her four children, Samantha, Maritza, Cinthia, and Ramon. She leaves behind her loving siblings, Marisol Ugalde and husband Elio, Laura Ugalde and husband Jonathan, Sibelle Ugalde and husband Daniel, and her brother, Ruben Ugalde and

wife, Ana Patricia. She leaves behind several in-laws, cousins, aunts & uncles, nephews, nieces, and several Godchildren.

The wake service will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at McClure Funeral Service 1030 S. Main St. Graham NC 27253 on Monday April 17th, 2023 .A funeral mass will be held at 1:00 pm on Tuesday April 18th, 2023 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 1620 Hanford Rd. Graham, NC 27253. Burial will follow at Tuesday’s Mass at Graham Memorial Park 1402 E. Gilbreath St. Graham, NC 27253

GRAHAM- 15 de Abril 2023, Verónica González Ugalde de 40 años, falleció en su casa después de una valiente batalla contra el cáncer. Estaba rodeada de todos sus seres queridos. Veronica nació el 29 de octubre de 1982 en Eden, Carolina del Norte. Ella es una de los cinco hijos de Ruben Ugalde y Celia Gonzalez Lara.

A temprana edad, la familia de Verónica regresó a México donde se criaría en San Antonio Solís, Estado de México. Regresó a los Estados Unidos a mediados de su adolescencia y donde viviría el resto de su vida en Graham, NC. Se graduó de la Escuela Secundaria del Este. Después de graduarse conoció al amor de su vida, Ramón González. Se casaron en 2002 y dieron la bienvenida a cuatro hijos. A la pareja le encantaría levantarse temprano y dar largos paseos en bicicleta. Les encantaba caminar juntos. A la familia le encantaría hacer viajes regulares a México.

Verónica tenía varias aficiones, pero la jardinería era su favorita. Ella tenía un dedo bueno y le encantaría plantar una variedad de flores. Ella tiene hermosos jardines alrededor de su casa y tiene varias plantas de interior. Le encantaba el aire libre, especialmente los árboles y los arroyos. Amaba las puestas de sol y el océano. Le encantaba bailar y su espíritu bailador era contagioso. Siempre empezaba los bailes en las reuniones familiares o en cualquier reunion social. Su canción de baile favorita era "Dance Monkeys" de Tones and I. Veronica tiene una sonrisa increíble que inmediatamente te haría querer sonreír también. Era extrovertida y nunca tuvo miedo de probar nada. Era valiente y tenía una gran personalidad. Era muy carismática y cariñosa.

Antes de su enfermedad, comenzó a estudiar cosmetología pero lamentablemente no pudo completar sus clases. Verónica fue precedida en muerte por su madre, Celia González Lara. Sobreviven su esposo durante 21 años, Ramón González y sus cuatro hijos, Samantha, Maritza, Cinthia y Ramón. Deja atrás a sus amados hermanas, Marisol Ugalde y esposo Elio, Laura Ugalde y su esposo Jonathan, Sibelle Ugalde y su esposo Daniel, y su hermano, Ruben Ugalde y su esposa, Ana Patricia. Ella deja a muchos parientes, primos, tíos, sobrinos, sobrinas y varios ahijados.

El velorio se llevará a cabo de 6:00 p.m. a 8:00 p. m. en McClure Funeral Service 1030 S. Main St. Graham NC 27253 el lunes April 17, 2023. Se llevará a cabo una misa fúnebre a las 1:00 pm el martes 18 de abril de 2023 en la iglesia Católica Blessed Sacrament 1620 Hanford Rd. Graham, NC 27253. El entierro seguirá en la Misa del martes en Graham Memorial Park 1402 E. Gilbreath St Graham, Carolina del Norte 27253.
