Victor Garland Yarborough

MEBANE - Victor G. Yarborough, 70, passed away peacefully on June 5, 2014. He was the son of Ethal Mayo Yarborough and the late Amos E. Yarborough.Survivors include his children, Kilry Yarborough of Raleigh, N.C., Keiah Yarborough-Minott of Stamford, Conn., and Karlon Yarborough of Bridgeport, Conn.He will also be sorely missed by seven siblings, Alan, Melvin, Kenneth, Clarence, Jerry, Carolyn and Larry, 16 grandchildren, one great-grandchild; and a host of aunts, uncles, in-laws, nieces and nephews.Along with his father, he was predeceased by two sisters, one brother and his paternal and maternal grandparents.He lived in Connecticut for many years and was employed by Clairol for 27 years until he retired to Camden, S.C. He always showed genuine concern for others and would help anyone, so he made many friends who will miss him dearly.Calling hours will begin at noon on Thursday, June 12, followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony at 2 p.m. at McClure Funeral Chapel, 1308 South Third Street, Mebane, NC. 27302.
