Wallace Stanford "Buzz" Turner

Wallace Stanford “Buzz” Turner, 65, of Scotland Neck passed away March 24, 2023. He is the son of the late Christopher Columbus Turner and Janice Daniel Turner. Buzz was very much a social butterfly and had never met a stranger. He worked much of his life in the logging industry. He loved fishing, hunting, and enjoyed shooting guns. He will be missed by everyone who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Buzz was also preceded in death by his brother, Stewart Turner, and a son, William Eugene Padgett.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Mary Scott Turner of the home whom he adored. He has also left behind daughters, Joyce Winslow, and Kay Williams, two sisters, Tami Slade (Mark), and Carol Patton. Buzz was blessed with five grandkids and six great-grandkids, all of whom he was very proud of.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00PM, March 26, 2023, at Sunnyside Cemetery at Scotland Neck, North Carolina.
