Walter Adrian Harkleroad II. Born June 14, 1947 passed away July 18, 2018 at UNC Cancer Center after a four year battle with Follicular Lymphoma. Son of the late Walter Adrian and Mary Elizabeth Harkleroad, he was born and raised in Bristol, Tennessee and moved to Raleigh, NC in 1982. His career as a Telecommunications Engineer lead to his retirement in 2013 from North Carolina State University. He was an avid fisherman and outdoorsman. But his greatest pastime was watching his grandsons play baseball. He is survived by his bride of nearly 52 years, Janice Harkleroad of Haw River, NC. His only daughter, Christina Edwards and her husband, Chris of Graham, NC. His pride and joy Grandsons, Brady, Ayden and Blake Edwards. His sister, Judy Williams and her husband, Robert of Newport, TN. His nephew, John Williams and wife Sara of Terre Haute, Indiana and their sons Ty and Taj. Along with other beloved Aunts, Uncles and cousins and cherished friends. At his request, graveside only services will be held at Graham Memorial Park, Graham, NC at 10 am on Friday July 20, 2018 with arrangements being made by McClure Funeral Home in Graham, NC.
