Wendy Karen (Allred) Handy

Wendy Karen Allred Handy, 50, of Mebane passed away Thursday, November 16, 2023 at her residence. Wendy was born in Alamance County . She worked as a waitress and was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church.

Wendy is survived by her mother, Linda Ball Allred. Her children, Brandon Handy and Brittany Handy, Grandchildren, Franklin Kenion, Jr. and Savannah Handy.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ted Allred and her brother, Ted Allred, Jr..

Wendy was one of the most caring people I knew. She would always put everyone else before herself. She loved her parents and children. Then grandbabies became a part of her life and grew to know and love her. People that knew Wendy would say “She was the best” Tough as nails and a good worker. But everyone  knew Wendy Handy s a genuinely a good person. She was loved by many and always took care of her friends and family. She was a  give you the shirt off her back kind of person. Her father, a retired president of the union of ODI (Old Dominion Insulation” and was veteran. Her mother  was a walking miracle  and her brother who didn’t get a chance at a older life neither, but Wendy always knew the Lord and I can comfortably say my mom’s in those Heavenly gates waiting to see every single one of us again one day.
