Wilbur McFarland Faucette Jr., (Willie) of Mebane, North Carolina, passed away on July 1, 2025. He was born and raised in Burlington, NC and throughout his life he was extremely creative and unapologetically unique.

With a strong personality and a whimsical heart, he stood out in the best ways: never afraid to be himself, always ready to bring a smile or spark curiosity. He found joy in music, art, and in working with his hands—anything that gave him a way to express the creativity that seemed to flow effortlessly through him.

He was a loving brother to his sister Kathi, and a cherished uncle to his niece Heather and his nephew Michael, and a fantastic great uncle to Asher, Dawson, Colton, and Everly.

To those closest to him, Willie was more than family—he was a source of comfort, laughter, enduring love, and always willing to share pieces of himself with those lucky enough to be in his orbit.

He will be deeply missed, but his spirit—vibrant, bold, and beautifully original—will live on in the memories he created and the love he gave so freely.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, July 19 at Pine Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at McClure Funeral home in Mebane on Saturday from 1:00 - 2:30 Before the service. Online condolences may be made to www.mcclurefuneralservice.net
