Willa "Jean" Walker

Mrs. Willa “Jean” Walker, 79, of Prospect Hill, NC passed away on August 7, 2023, at her residence. A native of Alamance Co. NC, she was the daughter of the late Willard Elmo Walker and Yvona Massey Walker. She was the past owner of Burlington Packaging. Jean loved the beach as she lived on the coast for 18 years. Jean enjoyed her flowers and cooking for her family and friends, but nothing put a smile on her face like her grandchildren and great granddaughter. They were the apple of her eye. Survivors include her loving son, Todd Carter, and wife Sharon; her grandchildren, Courtney Shaye Carter, Carson Willard Carter and her loving great granddaughter, Madison; a brother, Reid Walker; a special cousin, Ronald “Pug” Walker, and several loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Hazel “Susie” Ray. A memorial reception will be held at 6:00 PM on Thursday October 26, 2023 at Union Ridge Church. McClure Funeral Service in Graham is assisting the family.
