William "Vance" Allen Jr.

William Vance Allen, Jr. 81, of Burlington died Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Hospice Home in Burlington. He was a native of Orange County, retired from Monarch Hosiery and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bud and Ada Miller Allen and son, Jeffrey Todd Allen.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Apple Allen of the home; Son, Tim Allen of Graham; daughter, Pam Allen Abner of Burlington; grandchildren, Amy Lynn Miles, Jamie Ann Hernandez, Ray Barbour, Jennifer Allen, Kerstie Allen, Jonathan Allen, Michelle Woods and Lauren Allen; 11 great grandchildren.

A service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by Pastor David McDaniel. Burial will follow in Graham Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:00-2:00 before the service, other times at the residence.
