William Robert "Bob" Herring

William Robert “Bob” Herring, 79, passed away on December 18, 2021.  He was the son of the late Clyde Thomas and Edna Ruth Herring and the husband of Sue Herring who survives.  He was the owner and operator of Herring Brothers Construction Company, Inc. for 47 years. Bob enjoyed going to flea markets, tractor pulling, auctions and antiquing.  He loved his family especially his grandson and great grandchildren.  He was a well known and respected man who always went by his word.  He never met a stranger and made a lasting impact on those who knew him.  Other than his wife Sue, he is also survived by his daughter, Teresa Herring (Hugh); son, Robert “Greg” Herring Sr. (Lindsay); grandson, Robert “Tate” Herring Jr. (Haley); great grandchildren Isabella, Landen and Cash; Andrea “Andi” Sain, who was like a daughter to him and her son Reid and daughter Chloe; Harrison Tucker, grandson by love and a brother Raymond Herring.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Linda Herring and brothers, David, Larry, Tommy and Mike Herring.  The family will receive friends from 5-7pm on Wednesday December 22, 2021 at McClure Funeral Service in Graham.  A funeral service will be held at Bethel United Methodist Church in Snow Camp on Thursday December 23, 2021 at 2pm officiated by Pastor Phil Seay. Internment will follow in the church cemetery.
