William Faucette

William (Billy) L. Faucette, 70, passed at his home in Mebane, on December 30, after his third fight with cancer. Billy retired from the City of Greensboro after 30 years of service as an Information Systems Programming Manager. He was a native of Alamance County, husband of Rita C. Faucette and son of the late Samuel Durant and Mabel Dixon Faucette. Survivors include his wife, Rita Combs Faucette; son, William Thomas (Tom) Faucette and wife, Monica, of Kensington, MD; daughter, Ellen Faucette Lowe and husband, Matthew, of Mebane, and grandchildren: Wilson Faucette, Addison Lowe, Kai Faucette, Charles Lowe, and Hunter Lowe. Also surviving are his brother, Joesph T. Faucette and wife, Linda, of Mebane; and sisters, Hilda F. Parker and husband, Charles, of Julian; Mary F. McClure and husband, David, of Monroe; Melody "Dee" F. Earl and husband, James, of Greensboro and sister-in-law, Nancy P. Faucette of Haw River and numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Samuel C. (Bud) Faucette. A Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday January 2, 2018 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel at McClure's Funeral Home in Mebane with Rev. James L. Rosser conducting. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. on Tuesday at the funeral prior to the service. Burial will be at Phillips Chapel United Methodist Church cemetery following the service.
