William Bert Hilton Jr.

William Bert Hilton Jr.,87, of Graham was called home on September 12, 2026. He was born on November 17, 1938, in Wake County to William and Dora Hilton. He is predeceased by his wife Barbara Hilton, brothers Johnny Mack Hilton and Wayne Hilton and daughter Angie Campbell.

He is survived by his sons James Dace Hilton (Stephanie), Chad Hester, grandson Kivette Champion (Trinity), along with many other grandchildren and great grandchildren. He also leaves behind two fur babies Monster and Mickey who he loved so much and a grand pup Bodhi.

William was a retired US Navy veteran, who proudly served his country. He loved travelling around the world in the Navy, but he loved being home with his family. He was a man of faith and had a personal relationship with his Lord and Savior.

He loved Saturday mornings having breakfast with his son James, at either McDonalds or Bojangles. He also continued to go during the week to McDonalds as him and his wife did and have breakfast with a couple of their friends. He loved his westerns, like Gunsmoke, Rifleman, The Virginian and any John Wayne western. He could cut the volume off and tell you what was going on. He loved his Tarheels and joked with anyone about being a Duke fan. He loved watching NASCAR with Joey Logano being his favorite driver. William was a quiet man, with a gentle smile and loving heart.

William, also known as Bill, Dad, Papa, Pops, B., and Paw B’s will be missed deeply by his family and friends, but we know we will meet again one day.
