William "Bill" Junior Woods

Mr. William Junior “Bill” Woods, 85, of Burlington, passed away on Monday August 7, 2018 at the Hospice Home of Burlington. A native of Randolph County, WV, he was the son Jim and Mildred Woods. Bill was retired from Overnight Trucking with 27 years of service. He was a member of Pilgrim Chapel Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon. Bill was also a proud veteran of the US ARMY serving during the Korean War from 1950 until 1953 receiving the Honor of the Purple Heart. Bill also loved to mess around in his garden with his good buddy Bobby. Surviving is his wife Patricia Poole “Pat” Woods; a son, Mike Woods; daughter, Wanda Johnson; 7 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sisters, Carolyn Lloyd and Lona Leary. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Louk and a sister, Yvonne Ware. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday August 11, 2018 at the McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham with the Rev. Michael Jones and Bro. Bobby Conner officiating. Burial will follow with Military Honors in Guilford Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the funeral home and other times at the residence of the family.
