William "Lonnie" L. Foster

Mr. William Lonnie Foster, 72, of 3643 White Level Rd. Mebane NC, passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2016 at Alamance Regional M edical Center. A native of Alamance County, he was the son of the late John Newton and Edna Eller Foster. He was a loving husband, father, paw paw, brother, and friend to many. He was a member of Long’s Chapel Christian Church and he was retired from Amick Motor Company with 47 years of service to his community. He was an avid Nascar fan, always traveling to Charlotte and enjoying the races and he loved his dog Bruno. Survivors include his wife, Amanda Cates Foster, of the home; daughters, Amanda McKinney and husband Greg, of Burlington, Jennifer Benkosky and husband Chris, of Burlington, Pamela Foster, of TN; son, Tim Foster and wife Angela, of Mebane and Brandon Foster, of TN; step daughter, Rhonda Gordon, of Durham; 3 grandchildren; 2 step grandchildren; 3 step great grandchildren; sisters, Sonaha F. Lewis and husband Allen, of Burlington and Ilene F. Byrd, of Mebane. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Johnnie Ray Foster. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday March 11, 2016 at the Long’s Chapel Christian Church with the Rev. RJ Zupancich officiating. Burial will follow in the Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 PM on Thursday march 10, 2016 at the McClure Funeral Home in Mebane, and other times at the residence of the family.
