William A. Lineberry

Mr. William Alexander Lineberry, 74, of Deep Creek passed away Friday, November 12th, 2021, at the Mebane Ridge Facility. William, aka Red, aka Butch, aka Bill, was born in Mebane, North Carolina to Morris “Pete” Alexander Lineberry and Cordia Matkins Lineberry, both deceased. William was retired from the DOT, Southern Caswell Auctioneers, and The Faucette Fire Department. Mr. Lineberry was a man of Baptist faith and a longtime member of the Deep Creek Church Community. William also loved to farm. William can be remembered as a man of southern charm, never meeting a stranger, and often finishing his sentences with a grin.

In addition to his parents, Willam was preceded in death by two brothers, Wilkins and Herbert, and a sister, Cora Hopkins.

Mr. Lineberry is survived by a daughter, Joyce Hough, two sister, Shirley Stadler, and Frances Ingold (Bill), and several nieces.

A graveside service will be held at McCray’s Primitive Baptist Cemetery on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 2:00 pm.
