William "Lionell" Rimmer

William “Lionell” Rimmer, 87, of Cedar Grove passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022. He was a native of Person County. Formerly employed with Four Acres in Roxboro and White Furniture in Mebane and was a retired tobacco farmer, a Member of Five Forks Baptist Church and a US Army veteran. He is the son of the late Willie & Aldean Wilson Rimmer. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Richard “Ozie” Rimmer and wife Rita, James “Doug” Rimmer and wife Wilma, Henry Rimmer & Donald Rimmer.

He is survived by his wife, Lee Anner Fuqua Rimmer; Sons, Ronnie Rimmer, Eddie Rimmer and wife Billie Jean, Mike Rimmer and wife Judy; brothers, Vance “Sam” Rimmer, Maurice “Petie Rimmer”; sisters, Vivian “Quie”Wilkerson, Martha Moore; grandchildren, Shannon Brandon, Dustin, Travis & Ethan; great grandchildren, Laycon, Peyton, Addison and Easton.

A service to celebrate his life will be 2:00 pm Wednesday, January 12 at Five Forks Baptist Church by Pastor Glenn Farren. Burial with military honors will follow in the Rimmer Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 6:00 – 8:00 Tuesday evening.
